At a time when Americans find it increasingly appealing to eat breakfast for dinner, or “brinner,” Grainful introduces Grainful Steel Cut Sides, a line of savory, oat-based, shelf-stable side dish mixes in four varieties: Cheesy Oats, Jambalaya, Madras Curry and Tomato Risotto. Certified gluten free, each package serves four and contains oats, vegetables, a seasoning packet and preparation ideas. The suggested retail price is $4.99 to $5.99.

The company is also growing its frozen Grainful Steel Cut Meals line with Cheddar Broccoli, Thai Curry and Tuscan Bean & Kale, which join the original line (Andouille Sausage, Porcini Mushroom Chicken, Unstuffed Pepper and Vegetarian Chili) that debuted last year. The meals are prepared in individual kettle batches and contain one to two whole grain servings. Packages sport the Whole Grain Council’s stamp. With an eye on sustainability, the frozen meal trays are 100 percent recyclable and 90 percent compostable. The single-serve meals have a suggested retail price of $4.99.
