Food Processing Names 2021 R&D Teams of the Year

June 7, 2021
Food Processing is pleased to announce the winners of our 2021 R&D Teams of the Year: Golden State Foods and Talking Rain.

Each year, Food Processing asks food and beverage and beverage companies from across the United States to tell us about their research and development teams. And each year, Food Processing culls the nominations and asks our readers to vote on their favorite R&D Teams.

This year was no different. In Spring 2021, we asked and our readers delivered.

Food Processing is pleased to announce the winners of our 2021 R&D Teams of the Year: Golden State Foods and Talking Rain.

In our large business category—defined as having more than $1 billion in sales—Golden State Foods' 25-person product development team balances creativity, technical expertise and business management to maximize service, innovation and culinary services. In fact, according to their submission, in 2020 the team serviced 700+ projects, created 1,200+ product prototypes and launched 135 new products.

In our medium-sized business category—defined as having between $100 million-$1 billion in sales—The 25-person team at Talking Rain says it thrives in the fast-paced beverage landscape, believing "diversity of thought leads to the best discoveries." Their team includes scientists, technologists, engineers, statisticians, biologists, and biochemists, and many more.

You'll be able to read about our R&D Teams in our July issue (Golden State Foods) and our August issue (Talking Rain) as well as getting to hear from them during the August 26 webinar, Roundtable Discussion with our 2021 R&D Teams of the Year
