Food Processing Accepting Nominations for Upcoming Awards

March 16, 2020
We're accepting nominations for our 2020 Research and Development Teams of the year as well as the 2020 Influential Women in Manufacturing.

Do you know a woman or a team who is revolutionizing the way business is being done? If so, consider nominating them for one of our two awards listed below.

Influential Women in Manufacturing

Influential Women in Manufacturing is a program focused on recognizing and honoring women who are making a difference in the manufacturing space. Through April 10, 2020, nominations are being collected for the 2020 class of Influential Women in Manufacturing.

To be considered for the program, a potential nominee should have at least a few years of experience in the industry. Some of the other criteria we're looking for in an Influential Woman:

  • She has accomplished something that has moved the company, her department, or her team forward
  • She has fostered the growth of woman in manufacturing
  • She has had an impact on the people and/or processes of people around her.

Now Accepting Nominations for 2020 R&D Teams of the Year

Between now and mid-April, nominate a food or beverage processor’s R&D team in all of three sizes of firms: small (less than $100 million in sales), medium ($100-$500 million) and large (more than $500 million in sales).

Suggest any team or company you think is best. We also ask you to briefly explain why in a 125-word essay along with what the team does, how many people are involved and especially the significant developments (mostly products) of the past year—or soon to come. Don’t be modest: It’s OK to nominate your own team.

In April, we’ll look at the nominations, talk to the R&D teams involved, and develop a list of finalists which are then voted on by our readers.

To submit your nomination, e-mail Dave Fusaro, Editor in Chief
