Land O'Frost Breaks Ground for New Headquarters

The Munster, Ind.-based facility will include fully-operational pilot plant and test kitchen.

Land O'Frost, the second-largest producer of pre-sliced, pre-packaged lunchmeats and a producer of specialty sausage products, broke ground today its new corporate headquarters facility located in Munster, Indiana.

The manufacturer will move its headquarters employees into the new building in the fall of 2014. According to a release, the move will bring 50 new jobs and industry leaders in sales, marketing, innovation, and supply chain operations to the Northwest Indiana region.

The new Land O’Frost headquarters facility will also include a sustainable design, positioning the structure for future LEED certification. Some of the green features include  a green roof to help conserve energy and control temperature; natural lighting in all working spaces to lower electricity use; strategic landscaping to minimize water run-off and maximize of natural filtration.
