Cafe Spice, a New Windsor, N.Y.-based manufacturer of ready-to-eat Indian meals, announced the opening of a brand new processing plant in Beacon, N.Y. — its second manufacturing facility — according to a release shared by the company.
The company, which offers private label and co-manufacturing services as well, recently launched two new meal combos, and the 70,000-sq.-ft. facility features state-of-the-art kettles for cooking, as well as spiral chillers to help provide a continuous chilling and stabilization process.
Security has been enhanced through restricted access to the ingredients and processing rooms, and the company says food safety remains a top priority. Materials from start to finish are fully coded and trackable, and the company has implemented remote temperature monitoring to assist in maintaining an optimal environment.
Cafe Spice’s existing processing plant in New Windsor, N.Y. — just a few miles away from the new facility — will continue to operate, the company said.
