Coca-Cola, which issued its first Non-Fungible Token (NFT), in late July announced recently that the winning bid in the online auction brought in $575,883.61.
The NFT, which was auctioned over the course of three days, included digital collectibles packaged as a 'loot box' that were created in partnership with developer Tafi, a creator of custom 3D content for avatar and emoji systems.
According to the company, all proceeds from the auction will go to Special Olympics International. The company also indicated the loot box is now split into individual NFTs, which are available for secondary sale on OpenSea.
