Post Holdings is buying the Ronzoni dry pasta business from Riviana Foods, a unit of Spain-based Ebro Foods.
The $95 million deal will include the Ronzoni brand name and a manufacturing facility in Winchester, Va. The Ronzoni business generated net sales of approximately $102 million in 2019 and $115.8 million in 2020.
Riviana had sold most of its dry pasta business to TreeHouse Foods in a $242.5 million deal last November. Ronzoni was its only remaining prominent national brand of dried pasta.
Ronzoni will become a brand of 8th Avenue Foods & Provisions, the private-label unit of Post Holdings. The Ronzoni deal was the first major purchase by Post since last December’s acquisition of the Peter Pan peanut butter brand from Conagra Brands.
