ifiGourment Joins Roland Foods’ Portfolio of Home and Professional Chef Ingredient Products

Importer and distributor of bakery, pastry, confectionery and ice cream products will roll into Roland’s AUI Fine Foods division.

Roland Foods, which provides a wide variety of food ingredients to home and professional chefs and cooks, has acquired ifiGourmet, an importer and distributor of products used professionally in the bakery, pastry, confectionery and ice cream industries, according to a release from Roland’s parent company, Vestar Capital Partners.

ifiGourmet will be rolled into Roland’s AUI Fine Foods sweet division, and Rick Brownstein, owner and CEO of ifiGourmet, will remain with the company. ifiGourmet serves more than 1,500 in-store bakeries, restaurant chains and foodservice operations nationwide out of distribution centers in Chicago and San Francisco.

Roland Foods is an established brand in the fine foods category and offers more than 2,400 products to chefs and home cooks alike.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
