Medina, Ohio, food processor Sandridge Crafted Foods has acquired Winter Gardens Quality Foods in New Oxford, Pa., according to a release distributed by the company. The acquisition will help Sandridge increase production capacity, operations capabilities and market presence in the U.S. In addition, the company says the deal brings opportunity to enhance efficiency through optimization of the supply chain and operations.
Company executives touted the opportunity for collaboration and innovation between Sandridge and the New Oxford facility. Sandridge Foods has produced a wide variety of food products, including main dishes, soups, sides and more for club stores, foodservice and retail customers for more than 60 years.
