Already claiming to be the largest sous-vide cooking processor in North America, Stampede Meat Inc. has announced a 10-million-pound oven expansion at the DL Lee & Sons Inc. plant in Alma, Ga.
The expansion will be completed by the end of May, the company stated. In addition, Stampede Meat plans to add to its sous vide processing capabilities in its Canadian facility later this year. The company sees growth potential in the sous vide category and believes these moves will help keep it atop the list for customers demanding more sous vide products.
Stampede Meat, headquartered in Bridgeview, Ill., entered into a partnership with DL Lee & Sons in February 2023 — a move that company leadership called “so much more than an acquisition” in a company statement at the time.
