Five Steps to Better Personnel Hygiene

Oct. 9, 2007
Ecolab offers these five measures to increase the hygiene levels of plant personnel:
  1. Have your employees fully garbed at the plant. Provide uniforms, footwear and other clothing in a complete set easily accessed and put on in a clean locker room.
  2. Provide smocks, beard nets, hair nets, glasses and ear protection.
  3. Provide effective hand washing and sanitizing agents and working, easy-to-use dispensers to facilitate their use.
  4. Provide foot foamers and other cleaning agents to sanitize footwear. Safe and sanitary foot covers are another option.
  5. Automate dispensing systems and processes wherever possible to ensure the effectiveness and execution of proper hygiene practices.
