Terra Exotic Vegetable Chips, Stripes and Blues Gourmet Barbeque; Hain Celestial Group Inc.; Melville, N.Y.
Sage Siler, 8th grade:
The packaging is different; it's dark and the picture looks better than the actual product. That's the case a lot of the time in advertisements. The chips kind of look like dried up flowers. They don't taste like BBQ to me; they just taste sweet, and the aftertaste is bad. They're really crunchy. I think they would taste a lot better if they were salty instead of BBQ.
Tyrone Spears, 8th grade:
These chips taste kind of stale. They also don't have a salty taste to them. They have a tiny hint of barbeque. The taste of the beets sticks out. The taste is dull, and the chips don't really have a blast of flavor.
Arden Kelly Lowenstein, 8th grade:
The packaging is shiny and attractive, easy to open and good. The texture of the chips is all right, kind of like stale chips. The flavor is good, but there is not much of it. They need heavier flavoring and more crunch. I appreciate that they are healthy.
Matthew Foster, 8th grade:
The packaging is boring and ugly. The chips look like dried flowers. The chips taste bland. They are uninteresting and unsatisfying. They should not be made.
Jessica Shatkin, 8th grade:
These chips are delicious. They are a yummy, healthy snack. They are crunchy and the BBQ flavor hits the spot. It would be nice if they were in smaller bags. But they are a good snack for anyone who likes natural chips.
Simone Dec, 8th grade:
They taste like veggies, but not much barbeque. The chips were supposed to taste like potatoes, but don't. The packaging is black. I would recommend these to vegetarians or people who like veggie chips. They are not something I would regularly eat, but they are OK.
Brianne Brownlee, 8th grade:
They taste nasty! The color makes me want to throw them away. The bag says barbeque, but it doesn't taste like it. Vegetarians might like it. Some do actually taste like potatoes though.
Andrea Reynolds, 8th grade:
BBQ Stripes and Blues are very nasty with a bad smell. Sorry to say, but they're the worst chips I ever ate in my life. I really don't like them at all.
Corie Brissette, 8th grade:
These chips are good and well made. I don't like the way they look though. The taste is OK, and they will sell.
Jack Grant, 8th grade:
The veggie chips are so good. The packaging isn't very appealing, but the product is good. They (the chips) have different colors, which represent different veggies. They are dressed in BBQ, which gives them a lot of taste. This is a great after-school snack.
