Toted as #Cheesepocalypse on Twitter, Chicago-area stores are reporting via this article on the Chicago Tribune's website that they haven't received their shipments of Velveeta for months. According to the article, the 8-ounce packages of the cheese product haven't been on store shelves since September while 16-ounce packages have been in short supply. Fear not Velveeta-lovers, the 32-ounce packages are in plentiful supply.
