Froneri, the ice cream company partly owned by Nestlé, is promoting a supervisory board member and Nestlé vice president to chairman of the board.

Patrice Bula, currently executive vice president of Nestlé and a supervisory member of the Froneri board, will become chairman at the end of December. He replaces Luis Cantarell, the original board chairman when Froneri was formed in 2016.

“We are very happy that Patrice Bula has accepted to succeed Luis. He has the perfect profile for the job and I am sure his leadership will provide Froneri with the guidance it requires to continue its successful journey,” Nestlé CEO Mark Schneider said in a statement.

Froneri is a joint venture between Nestlé and PAI Partners, comprising Nestlé ice cream brands like Häagen-Dazs and Drumstick. It began marketing them in Europe and Israel after its establishment in 2016, with Nestlé’s North American ice cream business transferring over to Froneri last year.
