Kurzius to Replace Wilson as McCormick CEO

Wilson will continue as executive chairman of the board; effective Feb. 1.

Lawrence Kurzius, who has been McCormick & Co.'s president and chief operating officer all year, will take over the CEO role from longtime leader Alan Wilson on Feb. 1, 2016. Wilson will continue as executive chairman of the board.

Wilson was chairman, president and CEO for more than eight years, during which time there was a number of acquisitions and sales grew by more than $1 billion to $4.2 billion.

Kurzius was one of those acquisitions. He was CEO of Zatarain's for more than 12 years until the company was purchased by McCormick. He also held marketing positions with Uncle Ben's, a division ofMars Inc., and Quaker Oats Co.
