Flowers Foods, makers of Nature's Own bread and other bakery products, announced it has acquired Ft. Worth, Texas-based Leo's Foods. A tortilla maker, Leo's Foods, has 230 employees and annual sales of approximately $30 million. The company manufactures flour and corn tortillas and tortilla chips that are sold under Leo's, Juarez, and customer brandsLeo's Foods will operate as a subsidiary of Flowers Bakeries under its current name and will continue to serve existing customers with quality tortilla products.
