The Government Accountability Office declares, "Revamping the oversight of food safety is especially critical in light of the global food supply."

Americans currently live in a country with a plentiful and safe food supply; however, the Government Accountability Office believes the new Administration in 2009 should focus more attention on the oversight of food safety.

The GAO has released its report on what needs to be done to revamp the oversight of food safety.
