Sept. 21, 2017
The newly created position will allow Lysyj to lead sales and marketing at the grape-based products producer.

Welch's, Concord, Mass., which sells Concord and Niagara grape-based products, has appointed Lesya Lysyj president, U.S., to lead sales and marketing.

Lysyj brings a track record for driving growth in several categories, including beer, confectionary and beverages at Heineken USA, Cadbury Schweppes and Mondelez International, the latter where she was vice president of confectionery, U.S. and Canada. More recently, she was president of Weight Watchers NA, and has worked on an entrepreneur basis with start-ups in the e-commerce and membership model space.

"Lesya's combined experience with start-ups and traditional CPG organizations aligns well with our growth efforts," notes Brad Irwin, Welch's president and CEO. "I've seen her success first hand at Cadbury, and am excited to see her innovative spirit in action here."

Says Lysyj: "I am thrilled to be able to step into a role where we drive growth for our owners while delivering products that people love."

For almost 150 years, Welch's has delivered Concord grapes picked at their peak and pressed into juice within eight hours of harvesting.
