National Organic Board Asks for Comments Ahead of Meeting

June 24, 2022
Comment period open through Sept. 29; meeting Oct. 25-27.

The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) will meet in Sacramento, Calif., Oct. 25-27, but has two important public comment deadlines ahead of that date.

Written comments must be received by end of day Sept. 29, to be considered; this gives the board time to review the comments before the meeting. Registration for oral comments at the meeting will open in late August when the agenda and proposals are posted. Oral speaking slots fill up quickly.

There will be public comment webinars two days: Oct. 18 & 20, noon-5 pm Eastern Time. The actual Sacramento meeting will be Oct. 25-27, 8:30 am-5 pm Pacific Time.

The agenda is not yet finalized, so for that and all details on this meeting, go to the meeting web page.

The NOSB, administered by USDA, typically meets twice a year in various locations around the U.S.
