Long John Silver’s, which bills itself as the nation’s largest seafood-based fast-food chain, has started test-marketing analogue seafood products.

Three Long John Silver’s locations in California and two in Georgia began selling products from Gathered Foods on July 19. The products, branded under the name Good Catch, are a “fish-free fillet” and a “crab-free cake,” available separately or together as part of a “plant-based platter.”

Gathered Foods has been present in conventional retail, direct-to-consumer retail and restaurants. The Long John Silver’s deal is its first partnership with a major chain. The company recently took in $26.3 million in its second investment round.

“We're proud to have their plant-based products on our menu as a way to open our doors to a wider customer base who want to experience tasty seafood products in a more sustainable way," Christopher Caudill, Long John Silver's vice president for marketing, said in a statement.
