Chobani is expanding is footprint in dairy aisles with two new products: ultra-filtered milk and half-and-half.
The new items represent Chobani’s first foray into dairy-based liquid products. It will be the company’s first new product in the refrigerated aisle since Chobani oat milk rolled out in 2019.
Chobani Ultra-Filtered Milk is lactose free, with more protein and less sugar than traditional whole milk, the company says. The filtration process removes lactose and reduces sugar. The milk will be available in whole, 2%, fat-free and chocolate versions. The half-and-half will be offered in plain and lactose-free versions.
“With our lactose-free, reduced sugar and protein-packed Chobani Ultra-Filtered Milk, we’re making dairy accessible to more people and giving consumers a great option to trade up to a more advanced, functional and delicious product,” Peter McGuinness, Chobani’s president and CEO, said in a statement.
