S&D and Esrock Partners Catch Iced Coffee Growth Wave

Aug. 12, 2009

One of the fastest growing and most profitable products in the beverage category for the last two years has been iced coffee, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

According to the NPD Group, iced coffee sales in quick serve restaurants alone increased by 38% from 2007 to 2008 after an increase of 37% for the prior year. As one of the most successful coffee roasters for foodservice in the US, S&D Coffee has named Esrock Partners as their agency for the introduction of their new Perfect Iced Coffee line of products for foodservice operations.  S&D is one of the first major coffee roasters to tap into this growing, year round product category.

Esrock will create and produce a range of consumer, operator training, advertising, product and sales support material including online components for the new Perfect Iced Coffee system introduction. The new system uses a S&D proprietary “cold brewed” process that produces a great tasting, low labor and profitable solution for foodservice operators who want to tap into that growing market for iced coffee. The iced coffee demand has proven to be a multiple-sale-per-day opportunity for operators in almost every industry segment.  In fact, iced coffee is finding a major audience in morning, mid-morning snack, lunchtime and mid-afternoon snack times.  It serves as an alternative to traditional brewed hot beverages, and in many cases energy drinks too, offering foodservice operators multiple daily sales opportunities.  Perfect Iced Coffee comes in six of the most popular flavors - Vanilla, Mocha, Hazelnut, Caramel, and Unsweetened Vanilla as well as Original.
