Bazooka Candy Brands, a division of The Topps Co., introduces Crunchkins. These dessert-flavored bite-sized poppers have a creamy coating and a light, crunchy center. Every 3-oz. Crunchkins Share Pack contains three dessert flavors: Birthday Cake, Fudge Brownie and Glazed Donut.
“Crunchkins are a fun change of pace for the confectionary category,” says Nicole Rivera, marketing and innovation director for Bazooka candy brands, which includes Ring Pop, Push Pop, Baby Bottle Pop, Juicy Drop Pop and of course, Bazooka gum. “It’s a unique creamy, crunchy mix of dessert flavors all in one shareable bag.”
New Crunchkins made their debut in mid-March in Walmart locations nationwide with 7-Eleven and other key retailers coming onboard in wider distribution in June. Each share pack has a suggested retail price of $1.38 to $1.50. The product launch is supported with a national integrated marketing and promotional campaign that includes a fun, animated television spot called “Discover the Crunchkins!” which turns the eating experience of Crunchkins into an explosive space adventure inspired by the flavors and textures of the candy.
