With 100 percent natural proteins and nothing artificial, Healthy Choice, a brand of ConAgra Foods Inc., uses the magic of steam to transform simple ingredients into chef-inspired frozen meals. The Simply line is an extension of the brand’s Café Steamers line, the first and still the only meals that feature a special steaming basket that cooks the ingredients in less than four minutes in the microwave.
The new line contains eight meals, four classic and four low-carb options, all with less than 310 calories. The classic varieties — Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Pasta Primavera, Lemon Herb Chicken and Meatball Marinara — contain more than 18g of protein. The low-carb options — Chicken & Vegetable Stir Fry, Grilled Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo, Grilled Chicken Pesto & Vegetables and Southwestern Style Chicken — contain more than 22g of protein and less than 14g of net carbs. The meals have a suggested retail price of $3.29. Healthy Choice is the only major brand in its category that can call 100 percent of its products “healthy,” as defined by FDA.
