Snacking may very well be the new American pastime, according to market research firm Mintel, citing research showing nearly all Americans (94 percent) snack at least once a day. What's more, 50 percent of adults snack two to three times per day with 70 percent agreeing that anything can be considered a snack these days.
So, even though Hot Pockets from Nestle S.A. have long functioned as both meal and snack, the brand now directly speaks to snacking Americans with new Snack Bites and Breakfast Bites. These bite-sized portions of the company’s most popular Hot Pockets products address morning and anytime snacking occasions. The Snack Bites line includes Cheese Beef Nacho, Four Cheese Pizza, Hickory Ham & Cheddar and Pepperoni Pizza, all with a flaky crust. Breakfast Bites come in Bacon, Egg & Cheese and Ham, Egg & Cheese in flaky crusts and Sausage, Egg & Cheese in a biscuit crust. A four-piece serving contains 210-230 calories, 7-10g of fat and 7-8g of protein, depending on variety. The suggested retail price is $5 for two 9-oz. packs and $5.49 for a 24-oz. pack.
