Pierre’s Ice Cream has partnered with Cleveland celebrity chef Steve Schimoler, chef and owner of Crop Bistro & Bar and Crop Kitchen, to create two new flavors for its Pierre’s Chef’s Signature Ultimate Ice Cream Pints line. Croppy Road features chocolate ice cream, chocolate-covered marshmallow cups, almonds and a smoky, salted caramel swirl. Holé Molé is cinnamon ice cream blended with chili choco chips, chocolate-covered toffee pieces and molé fudge swirl.
Chef Schimoler invented and originally offered the two flavors on his menu to gauge consumer response. They were hits. When the pints were ready for debut, Pierre’s hosted a free tasting at his restaurant. “We are teaming up with the area’s most prominent chefs to display their exceptional culinary talents and expertise,” says Shelley Roth, president and CEO of Pierre’s. “Steve’s amazing flavors kick off the collection of creamy and delicious creations, made from the finest and freshest ingredients, and we have even more celebrity-chef flavors planned for early 2015.”
The 16-oz. containers, which feature eye-catching graphics to convey the hot and smoky ingredients, retail for about $4.99.
