General Mills Inc., Minneapolis, introduces Pillsbury Gluten Free Dough, a line of refrigerated, ready-to-use, versatile dough products. To help kick off the product launch and inspire baking, the company enlisted the help of Iron Chef, cookbook author, TV personality and mom: Chef Cat Cora. Cora created 10 unique and easy recipes using all three dough varieties.
Her gluten-free recipes include energy bars, pizzettas and samosas.
"I've always loved the classics Pillsbury is known for, and I'm excited to showcase these versatile gluten-free dough products through my homemade recipes," she says. "It's admirable that Pillsbury is making it easier for more people to enjoy making and eating gluten-free foods for a variety of occasions."
The three varieties come in convenient tubs for easy storage and portioning. The Pie and Pastry Dough comes in a 15.8-oz. tub, enough to make two 9-in. pie crusts. The suggested retail price is $4.99. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough comes in a 14.3-oz. tub and makes about 16 2-in. cookies. The suggested retail price is $4.49. The Thin Crust Pizza Dough comes in a 13-oz. tub and makes one 10-in. pizza crust.
