  • The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration turned down applications for Kellogg, Battle Creek, Mich., to sell 18 vitamin-enriched products in that country. The ban affects enriched versions of flagship brands such as Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies and Special K as well as cereal bars that were to be launched on the Danish market later this year. The agency expressed concern the long-term consumption of enriched products could damage children’s livers and kidneys, as well as unborn babies.
