Yaskawa America introduced its Junma AC Servo which provides and alternative to traditional stepper technology. The plug and play design requires no parameter settings or gain adjustments.
Junma accepts a pulse reference input from the host controller or PLC. Plant operators are able to select a reference pulse switch setting on an amplifier to match the reference output on its controller.
The servo's system parameters are set on system power up. Machine load inertia is calculated automatically, and tuning gains are adjusted dynamically allowing the system to adjust to changing conditions.
The Junma Servo also includes the following advanced control functionalities:
- Adaptive tuning and vibration suppression functions
- Jogging
- homing to marker pulse
- Electronic gearing
- Torque limiting
Junma features four available servo motor and amplifier sets with rated outputs ranging from 100W to 750W capable of both 100V and 200 V input voltages. Servo motor feedback is provided with a 16-bit incremental encoder, providing a resolution of 65,536 pulses per revolution. Additionally, Junma conforms to UL and CE industry standards and complies with the directive for Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).
