Melinda (Mindy) Rich today (Aug. 8) succeeds her husband as chairman of Rich Holdings Inc., the family-owned, corporate parent of food company Rich Products.
Mindy Rich has served as vice chairman, executive vice president and a member of the board of directors for Rich Products Corp. in her 37-years with the company. The company called it a “long-planned transition.”
She somewhat replaces husband Robert E. Rich Jr., 81, who was chairman for 16 years. Son of the founder Robert E. Rich Sr., he takes the new title of senior chairman.
Buffalo, N.Y.-based Rich Holdings is more diversified than most food companies: It owns, and Mindy Rich has overseen, Rich Entertainment Group, responsible for the organization’s baseball, theater, restaurant and travel interests. Among her directorships, she’s on the board of the Cleveland Rock & Roll Hall of Fame + Museum.
