Reader Poll: Replacing Artificial Ingredients

Is your company adding or removing certain questionable ingredients in food formulations, and if you think it's wise to replace artificial ingredients?
June 8, 2015

With the flood of news from Taco Bell and Kraft, Chipotle, PepsiCo and Tyson replacing artificial ingredients in flagship products in attempts to launch cleaner, more healthy versions or eliminate certain chemicals or genetically modified organisms (GMOs), we wanted to do a quickie poll online this month, updating a similar question asked in our 44th annual R&D Survey featured in the May issue.

While the R&D Survey asked about removing things like added sugars, fiber and sodium, this poll wants to gauge the cutback on the more synthetic, such as growth hormones, artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners, GMOs, antibiotics and preservatives.

We ask if your company is adding or removing certain questionable ingredients in food formulations, and if you think it's wise to replace artificial ingredients. Go ahead and take our poll, and feel free to comment about this topic.
