Citadelle Wins IMSI Award for Pure Maple promotion

Citadelle Maple Syrup Producer’s’ Cooperative was recently awarded the Golden Maple Leaf Award by the International Maple Syrup Institute for its work in the international promotion of 100% pure maple. Citadelle CEO Luc Lussier and Citadelle Chairman and Maple Syrup Producer Raynald Baril accepted the award at the IMSI’s annual meeting, held in conjunction with the North American Maple Syrup Council, last month in Bar Harbour, Maine. The Golden Maple Leaf Award recognizes outstanding achievement in supporting and advancing the maple syrup industry in North American & internationally. This year’s theme for the award was Maple Promotion and Marketing.
The IMSI was founded in 1975 and works with those in both Canada and the United States who are involved with the maple products industry. The organization promotes the use of 100% pure maple syrup and protects the integrity of the product while encouraging cooperation among all persons or groups involved in the industry.
