Post Holdings Inc. has announced its president and CEO, Robert V. Vitale, will take an unexpected medical leave of absence. The company further stated in its announcement that, per Post’s emergency succession protocol, the board of directors named the company’s executive vice president and COO, Jeff A. Zadoks, as interim CEO during Vitale’s leave of absence.
The announcement did not shed light on Vitale’s condition nor the length of the leave, saying it was too soon to know the course of treatment and timing of recovery, and sending best wishes to Vitale during his recovery.
Zadoks has served in various roles at Post since 2011; prior to his current role, Zadoks spent eight years as executive vice president and CFO.
