Long Island Iced Tea Becomes a Trademarked Brand

The ready-to-drink tea beverages company was issued a trademark in April for its non-alcoholic Long Island Iced Tea beverages.
Long Island Iced Tea Corp., Hicksville, N.Y., focused on the ready-to-drink tea segment in the beverage industry, announced it was issued a trademark for its Long Island Iced Tea beverages in April by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The registered trademark covers the following Goods and Services Class Code: Beverages made of tea; Beverages with a tea base; fruit teas; tea-based beverages; tea-based beverages with fruit flavoring, In Class 30 (U.S. CL. 46). "The issuance of this trademark further protects our recognized brand Long Island Iced Tea," says Philip Thomas, CEO of Long Island Iced Tea Corp.

The company, which operates in the ready-to-drink tea segment of the beverage industry, has developed non-alcoholic, premium iced tea bottled beverages, and is currently organized around its flagship brand, Long Island Iced Tea ready-to-drink iced tea, sold primarily on the East Coast of through a network of distributors.
