Flavorchem Opens New Liquid Production Facility

44,000-sq.-ft. addition to its Downers Grove, Ill., headquarters.

Flavorchem Corp. on Nov. 6 dedicated a 44,000-sq.-ft. liquid production facility across the street from its Downers Grove, Ill., headquarters. With the expansion, Flavorchem’s facilities now total 215,000 sq. ft. The addition includes more dedicated area for quality control and regulatory departments, as well as a better equipped training facility.

"The new facility will enhance production and distribution efficiencies, while maintaining our high standards for quality and safety,” said President Kenneth Malinowski. “We have taken a large step forward and will continue to invest in our customers, employees, and community."

The dedication included remarks by Sprovieri family members, who own Flavorchem.

The Downers Grove campus includes Flavorchem’s corporate headquarters, the sales, customer service and marketing offices, technical and production facilities, and distribution and packaging centers. The company also has a production facility in San Clemente, Calif.

The company, founded in 1971, specializes in flavor and color solutions for the food, beverage and nutraceutical industries.
