Milo’s Tea's Fourth Plant Coming to South Carolina

Jan. 25, 2023
$130 million Moore, S.C., plant should employ 100 next year.

Milo's Tea Company, a 76-year-old Alabama-based beverage company, on Jan. 24 said it will spend $130 million to build a manufacturing and distribution facility in Moore, S.C. Milo's expects to break ground by mid-March and to start production of its tea and lemonade in the fall of 2024.

The plant should create 100 jobs. The 110,000-sq.-ft. facility will be the fourth production plant for the company, the others being in Tulsa, Okla., and Bessemer and Homewood, Ala.

The move to South Carolina supports the company's goal of expanding its production of its refrigerated, all-natural teas and beverages, especially along the East Coast. Milo's also plans on adding additional lines of production over the coming years.
