The Cheesecake Factory Inc. has announced it will build its third bakery production facility in Charlestown, Ind., where it has acquired 37 acres for development. The plant will produce The Cheesecake Factory’s cheesecakes and bakery products for its own restaurants as well as other foodservice wholesalers, retailers and distributors.
According to local news reports, the company will invest $74 million into the site. Once the bakery and distribution facility is open, it is expected to provide more than 200 jobs to the local community. The Cheesecake Factory opened its first bakery 51 years ago, some six years before it opened its first restaurant.
