Our editors selected the following equipment to feature in our January 2020 issue of Food Processing. See which products they chose.

Industrial LED linear luminaire

The Linura.edge uniform white light (5,000 K/CRI >80) is for use inside machines with uncritical environmental conditions. Its solid housing can withstand high ambient temperatures, liquids and dust and has a special sealing for screen and side parts, minimizing failures. Available with integrated M12 connection, universal light brackets that allow for light direction adjustment and a variable-length holder system, it can be installed and adjusted easily. The slim, functionally designed luminaire is well-suited for constricted control cabinet rooms that house highly compressed electronics and require special electromechanical integration. Waldmann

High-level palletizer

The HL4200 high-level palletizer with optional smart diagnostics offers standard features such as a VFD-controlled pacer meter belt, bi-parting apron and the company’s Product Manager controls package. These features, combined with the ability to form side-to-side and front-to-back layer gaps, make the palletizer flexible. Suitable for both retrofit and new applications, it can handle a variety of package types, including cases, display packs, totes, trays, bundles, shrink film, crates and small cases. Patty fill system

The Ultimate Patty Fill System is available on all of the company’s food forming machines. It is designed to improve bite, texture and mouthfeel. Patties can be formed in portions up to 1 in. thick and 10 oz. in weight. Patties that are formed using this system are assembled in interweaving strands to enhance heat transfer through the product, reducing cooking time and making the patties more uniform. It does this while creating tender patties with consistent shape and weight retention after cooking. Nutec Manufacturing

220 lbs. of robotic strength

A custom, sanitary robotic material system handles high-load bulk product and is especially suited for meat and poultry processors. It features a six-axis Stäubli robot with a maximum payload of 220 lbs. and a reach that extends up to 8.5 ft. The robotic bulk product handling arm can be mounted in a variety of orientations, including inverted. It loads large cuts of protein, such as naked pork belly slabs, into processing equipment and can also stack the same large cuts on a pallet. JLS Automation
