Charles Ross & Son Company's 10-gallon Double Planetary Mixer is equipped with the classic rectangular stirrer blades, a vacuum-rated and jacketed mix vessel, tank light, pre-wired control panel and a rotating RTD thermoprobe for accurate measurement of batch temperature.
Ross manufactures Double Planetary Mixers for heavy-duty mixing of viscous formulations up to around 6 million cP. This vertical mixer is free of shaft seals, bearings, packing glands or stuffing boxes in the product zone. In addition, the agitators are raised and lowered in/out of the mix vessel by a hydraulic lift, enabling easy access for cleaning between batches. Mix vessels are interchangeable and can be dedicated to a particular formulation, further reducing the risk of cross-contamination.The following optional features are commonly supplied on Ross Double Planetary Mixers:
