The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), a dietary supplement industry trade associations, is holding a one-day science seminar on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Lansdowne Resort, Landsdowne, Va. The seminar, which follows CRN's annual conference, will update attendees on an array of topics including vitamin E effects on respiratory infections and heart disease, green tea extract's clinical prospects, calcium and phosphorus effects on bones, and omega-3 fatty acids and brain function. John Hathcock, Ph.D., CRN's vice president of scientific and international affairs, said, "This is an excellent opportunity for researchers, academics, scientists and others with an interest in the science-based evidence for dietary supplements to interact with leading researchers in these areas."
