Raft of Executive Changes at Hershey

Same president/CEO, but numerous internal promotions.

Hershey Co. announced a raft of executive changes in April, all but one internal promotions. All are effective May 13.

Humberto Alfonso, currently CFO and chief administrative officer, will become president-international in an effort to drive business growth outside the U.S. and Canada. Replacing him as CFO is David Tacka, who also will become a senior vice president. He was chief accounting officer.

Michele Buck, current chief growth officer, will become president of North America, focusing on the U.S. and Canada. E. Daniel Vucovich will become senior vice president and chief commercial officer. D. Michael Wege, currently chief commercial officer, will become senior vice president and chief growth and marketing officer.

The only outsider is Waheed Zaman, who joins the company as senior vice president and chief administrative officer. He will be responsible for optimizing Hershey’s information technology and global shared services functions as the company expands internationally. Zaman previously worked for Chiquita Brands International and Procter & Gamble.

“These organizational enhancements will help accelerate our global growth by broadening and leveraging our leadership expertise, knowledge and capabilities across the company,” said John (JP) Bilbrey, pres/CEO.
