In response to outbreaks of foodborne pathogens, the company has introduced a line of fully traceable, heat-treated sprouted seed ingredients: ChoiceGrad Brown Sprouted MP and ChoiceGrad Golden Sprouted MP. The ingredients undergo heat treatment to ensure optimal purity, stability and shelf-life. Currently, there are no officially regulated steps in the production of sprouts that prevent bacterial growth or completely eliminate pathogens. Low-heat drying steps lock in nutrients and ensure vitality of seed. A further validation process tests seed purity and the ability to germinate.
