The $1 billion frozen waffle market just got some innovative competition. Garden Lites introduces veggie-rich waffles that have butternut squash and carrots as primary ingredients. Made with 23 percent vegetables, these fluffy, crispy waffles are made with only clean ingredients and are gluten free. Garden Lites Waffles launch in two flavors, Blueberry and Homestyle. One serving is two waffles and contains 200-210 calories, 18g whole grains, 2g fiber and 2g protein. The dairy-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, kosher waffles come six to a box and have a suggested retail price of $3.49.
“Consumers demand better choices in their foods for themselves and their families,” says Andy Reichgut, executive vice president. “Garden Lites continues to fulfill consumer’s needs by creating delicious and convenient products that offer the health benefits of vegetables, fiber and nutrients.”
Since 2008, Garden Lites has raised the bar in healthy foods by delivering full flavor that’s also vegetable rich. The brand debuted with muffins and since has extended to include entrees, such as mac and cheese and soufflé, and savory snack bites. The muffin line includes two products targeted to children: Ninja Power and Spongebob Chocolate Krabby.
