Tyson Foods’ Executive Shakeup Continues; Morris Named New Poultry President
Poultry industry veteran and former Tyson Foods executive Wes Morris has been named president of Tyson Foods’ poultry business, effective January 27.
Morris replaces David Bray, who will vacate the Group President, Poultry, position he held for the last 18 months. This leadership change follows the company’s installation of Brady Stewart to replace Shane Miller to lead the Fresh Meats business in December 2022.
Morris has over 35 years of experience working in poultry and consumer sales, and returns to Tyson Foods after retiring from the President, Prepared Foods Operations, post in 2017. He first joined Tyson Foods in 1999 and held several leadership positions over the years, including group vice president of consumer products.
After retiring from Tyson in 2017, Morris worked as chief financial officer for Simmons Foods from 2018 to 2019 and also as a consultant to Tyson’s poultry business.
