Kellanova Promotes Two Executives Following Retirement of North America President
Chris Hood, president, Kellanova North America, will retire at the end of April 2024 and be replaced by Nicolas Amaya, current president, Kellanova Latin America, according to an announcement from the company. Victor Marroquin, who is currently general manager, Kellanova Mexico, will step into Amaya’s vacated role as president, Kellanova Latin America. Both Amaya and Marroquin will report to chairman, president and CEO Steve Cahillane.
Kellanova, the 2023 Kellogg spinoff that includes brands in global snacks, international cereal and noodles, and North American frozen foods, said the transitions of these executives will begin immediately.
Amaya has spent the last four years leading Kellanova Latin America to consistent top- and bottom-line growth, building strong relationships with key customers and distributors across the region. He has also been at the forefront of digital transformation, the company said. He joined the company in 2001, having held various leadership positions in U.S. and Latin American cereal, frozen and snacks businesses during that time. Prior to his time with Kellogg/Kellanova, Amaya worked for Unilever in the marketing department.
Marroquin joined Kellogg in 1997 in sales, and worked his way up through marketing, customer development and commercial management. He has served as general manager of various Latin American business units since 2014, and was named to his current position as general manager, Kellanova Mexico, in 2020.
