Constellation Brands Names New EVP, President of Wine & Spirits Division

Sam Glaetzer, previously senior vice president of global operations and international sales for the company, moves into the new role effective March 11.

Constellation Brands has appointed Sam Glaetzer to be its new executive vice president and president of the Wine & Spirits Division, effective March 11, 2024.

Glaetzer joined Constellation Brands in 2014 as managing director of New Zealand and Australian operations and has three decades of wine and spirits industry experience. Glaetzer has served in leadership roles in general management, international commercial sales, supply chain operations, product quality, new product development, acquisition integrations and divestitures, all over the better part of the past 10 years at Constellation.

He was most recently the senior vice president, Global Operations and International Sales for the company. Glaetzer takes the reins from Robert Hanson, whose departure from the company was announced in January 2024. Glaetzer’s responsibilities will include service as a member of Constellation’s executive management committee.
