Seaboard Foods Pork Segment Names New President & CEO

Chad Groves will be promoted from within Seaboard Foods to take the reins from Peter Brown, who will retire June 30, 2024.

Seaboard Foods LLC’s Pork Segment will be led by a new CEO following the retirement of president and CEO Peter Brown, effective June 30, 2024. Parent company Seaboard Corp. has announced that Chad Groves will step in as the new president and CEO of the division.

Groves has been the senior vice president of global sales, marketing and innovation at Seaboard Foods since July 2021, leading the retail, foodservice, export, processor sales, marketing, sustainability and innovation teams. Previously, Groves had held executive sales positions at Trilliant Food & Nutrition LLC and High Liner Foods. He currently is a member of the board of directors and treasurer for the National Pork Board.

Brown is retiring after more than three years with Seaboard Foods, building on more than 30 years of executive leadership experience in the protein industry, including stints at Butterball and High Liner Foods.
