Nissin Foods USA Names Former Kellogg’s Snacks Exec to President and CEO

Jan. 4, 2024
Brian Huff will lead instant ramen processor’s U.S. business, taking the reins from Mike Price, who has retired.

Nissin Foods USA has appointed Brian Huff to be the company’s president and CEO effective immediately, according to a release from the company. His predecessor, Mike Price, retired from the role, in which he had served since 2018.

Huff formerly served as an executive with Diamond Foods, Whole Earth Brands and Kellogg’s, and he has more than 33 years of food and beverage industry experience. At Kellogg’s, where he spent 24 years of his career, he worked his way up as high as president of U.S. snacks, managing the Pringles, Cheez-Its, Keebler and Kellogg’s branded snack portfolio.

Huff will lead the U.S. division of Nissin Foods, expected to continue the company’s growth and leadership position in the instant ramen category, with its Top Ramen and Cup Noodles products. Huff and the U.S. team will have additional manufacturing capacity to execute those goals, as Nissin Foods announced in November that it would build a new $228 million processing plant in South Carolina.

Also, Nissin Foods announced a complete overhaul of its Cup Noodles packaging, which eliminates polystyrene and plastic wrap for more environmentally friendly options, and the news release said that Huff will play a pivotal role in the progress and commitment to the company’s Earth Food Challenge 2030 long-term environmental strategy.
